To me Crump looks more comfortable running the offense, he looks smoother. With Crump the offensive rotations seem to start earlier in the possession than Turtle. In spite of not playing and constantly getting yanked Crump appears more confident on the floor.
Turtle has developed into a ball pounder. He frequently backs away dribbling well beyond the arc and searching for a place to make his first entry pass. He looks incredibly stiff and tentative.
Turtle is a 6'4 soph. Tyree is 6'1 frosh. I understand wanting the bigger guard on the floor who probably knows the offense better, maybe plays D better. I dunno. But Crump appears to be a more natural talent, the kid is a very good player. Sundiatta, Rashad and Litterial were no taller than Crump. JJ either.
Maybe some posters will expand on this, maybe we'll have comments on what to anticipate next season.
