I think of Hugh Durham fondly because it was his teams in the late 70's that got me hooked on basketball. I would go to the games and also go to watch practices. He would always take the time to walk over and talk to me and ask me my thoughts ( I was a young kid so he was being very kind). I would read every article about the basketball dawgs. Dominique was a God as was Fleming and Fair. I feel like I owe them a big thank you for my love of the game. At the end of his tenure I feel the game had passed him by a little. He had recruited well but they were not producing and the basketball was branded as boring. It was obvious his time had come to an end. The end was a similar feeling to how I feel now about Fox and his team. He is recruiting ok but it is just not translating to wins and loses and no regular NCAA appearances.

Talking about Durham a few days ago, got me thinking about the comparison of the coaches (including him) from his time at UGA to Mark Fox and now. Below is what was put together. I find it interesting and helps with perspective about the history of the program and what we truly ARE as a basketball program. You are what you are. Take the info for what it is and make it what you want but again, I find facts interesting. Apologize for the formatting, I couldn't get it to look like I wanted.
