A little late here but Maxwell Ford, a rising junior on the golf team, recently announced he's transferring to UNC. Maxwell played the 1 slot for most of the season and is having a really good summer. Big loss for the golf dawgs. Maxwell's twin brother, David, is at UNC and is a top 5 amateur in the world right now. Both out of Johns Creek, GA. UNC was loaded last year and may be even better next year. No reason the dawgs should be losing this type of in state talent. Finishing 14th was strong last year but the Dawgs should be making match play every year, and we have clearly fallen behind others such as UNC, Vandy, Oklahoma, Az State, Oregon, Florida, Tesh, Pepperdine in recruiting. I know facilities reno was put on hold by the board but we need something to spark some energy in the program soon.
