We're tied for #1 with LSU. The Georgia player most deserving was left off though, I'll get back to that beef. First though, these are Our representatives to The 2016 Pro Bowl..
Geno Atkins. DT, great come back from ACL surgery.
Thomas Davis. ILB, He's having his best season at 32 years of age.
AJ Green. WR, once again among the top 4 in the game.
Todd Gurley. RB, Rookie gone wild, just over a year removed from ACL surgery.
Justin Houston. OLB, not His best season, but good enough.

Now for the ridiculous oversight.
Reshad Jones. S, RS is.
5th in The NFL in total tackles.
FIRST in the league in solo tackles,17 more than any other DB in the league.
6th in ints with 5,
2 sacks.
9 passes defended, 5th among safeties.
That is about as complete a resume for a safety as they come.
He is having an All Pro season.

More aggravating proof of our underachieving program.

Whatever, I'm proud of Our guys.
Bama has a grand total of 1 in the Pro Bowl, they like to brag about preparing players better than other programs. 50 or so players rated 5 stars in 9 years and 1 makes the game.

That's because football is a team sport lead and directed by the coach. There is no I in team...ha ha.

Alabama has 3 national titles and is playing for a fourth. It's nice to have a bunch of great players in the pros, but it doesn't amount to much if those players are underachieving while at UGA. I would take fewer great NFL players for a couple of titles. What they do at UGA is far more important to me than what they do in the NFL, although I'm proud of their NFL success.

LOL! This the same guy who claimed all Richt's problems had to do with him not having players. I'm reminded of another old Bryant story (read his book) where he went into the drug store where he drank coffee early every AM on the way to work on Monday after a Sat loss. And of course one of his coffee pals greeted him with the old saw of "WHAT HAPPENED"...."we don't have a QB" Bryant retorted. "Well" said the questioner, "didn't you know it took a QB four years ago"....So either Richt has wasted a bunch of talent (he has) or he screwed up with one of the elite recruiting opportunities in America and didn't bring in the right players like Bryant when he didn't bring in a QB for that year.

It's really too bad We can't just celebrate Our Dawgs' success without turning it into another negative whining fest.
These Kids came to UGA in part for Their futures, well, this is it.

What about being happy for Them for gosh sake, it's not ALL about Us.

Pro Bowl is meaningless...All Pro is the real accolade.

You people might as well support a pile of rocks. There is nothing meaningful in Your being ''fans'' since You don't care a bit about the people involved.
How hard would it be to just post Your congratulations without whining about not winning a title or even worse, dismissing the achievement ?
These Guys are lifetime members of The UGA Football Fraternity, They have earned it, We're just passive witnesses, We should at least honor Them for choosing Our School, then putting in countless hours and sweat.

Clearly not the point...but you read it how you like.

You remind me of one of my old girl friends, forever making drama where there is none.

Who said I wasn't happy for them? I said I am proud of their success. However, I'd be far happier and more proud if all of these great NFL players would actually lead us to a title.

That is really just a dig at the players. If You can't be big enough to simply congratulate them, why not post the BS in a thread that wasn't started as a tribute to them ?
It seems beyond You to think about anything other than Your own disappointment.

Are you drunk? That makes zero sense...

I just missed a space a rest was what I meant, I expect You knew that.

I've tried repeatedly to manage a thread to simply congratulate players for Their various successes. They have been invariably hijacked by whiners.

No whine...just level-setting your exuberance over an underwhelming accolade.

In other words, being a bit of a dick.
What is the cost of saluting Our players and former players once in awhile without bringing negatives into it ?
Heck, The World really does revolve around Me, and I'm ok with letting some threads be about something other than My desire to win.

Wrong again Helen. All Pro is the true accolade in the NFL. That's an undeniable fact. It's the difference between being a Parade All-American and a Trion, GA PTA Newsletter All-American...

Hey I'm proud of them and consider it another Bulldog point of pride! Especially Thomas Davis, who was headed to So Carolina ST. (I think it was)

But you have to admit with that much talent in the pros, we should have had something to show for it. It's not all about the fans, but the glory these players should have gotten while here. We could get them here, but for whatever reason, we couldn't "coach 'em up!" Thomas Davis had something to prove here and did. In spite of coaching or lackadaisical atmosphere or whatever.

Why do We need to rehash things that have been discussed endlessly in other threads in the few threads started to congratulate players ?
THAT is My point.

If that's what being the harbinger of truth is to you, then so be it. Ask anyone that's actually played in the league, and they'll tell you the same thing - if they even care about that sort of thing.

Congratulations to Our Guys, Champ made more Pro Bowls than any other DB in NFL history, too bad it's an empty accomplishment, I had such high hopes for the guy.

7 time All Pro...btw, great job high fiving folks who'll never read this board. You're doing yeomans work...

Maybe because YOU pointed out Bama has only one in the pro bowl? I took that to mean you were comparing Bama and UGA players, and it is glaringly apparent, Saban knows how to coach them to win COLLEGE accolades. This is a UGA board. But as I said, very proud of our former players in the NFL.
