Since the NYT is a mouthpiece of US intelligence, they must be coming clean for a reason. Maybe John Ratcliffe and other intelligence heads decided to get out in front of this before DOGE finds the receipts at Langley.

Or, maybe some within the administration want our people out of the theater altogether, since the likelihood of the EU staging a false flag to ramp up WW3 with Russia has never been higher after Trump told the Euro's they are on their own. Of course the socialist EU has no army, munitions or any way to manufacture them. Yet, they are going to default on their debt, so they need to have a war as an excuse.
