things that impressed me most were:
1) Lo Carter- My goodness....he stands out. He wreaks of excellence and he's a can't miss pro.
2) Of the three QB's, none has the 'smooth' and 'flair' factor more than Park. He may not end up being our starting QB, but of the three, he has the 'it' factor.
3) Sterling Bailey is massive. Looks much bigger than the stats say.
4) TE Jackson Harris is SEC ready right now. Looks like an upper classman...catches the ball very well.
5) Tracy Rocker is one intimidating son of a gun. Was the most vocal coach out there. He once glared my way, and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end.
6) Coach Pruitt- was really impressed by his coaching. He was pulling guys aside one on one the whole time and coaching them. He would tear them down and then build them back up. And, after practice was over, he made a bee line to me and the guys I was with and introduced himself. He was the only coach to go out of his way to do this. He definitely
displays all the characteristics of a strong head coach.
7) Turman looks good...real good. We're going to have a great dilemma in the fall if Marshall and Michel are healthy. I can't imagine any other team having a deeper backfield than us.
8) S & C coach Hocke...great guy and very intense...loves his job and was another that spent an extended period of time speaking to us. Very happy to have his youth and energy at UGA.
9) Run, run and run some more...our players are doing a lot of it.
Overall I was just very impressed with how well run and organized practice was. If players weren't in action, they were being coached.
My concerns coming away were:
1) I didn't think the QB's looked particularly sharp with their passes. There was no ooh and ah moment....at least that I saw.
2) Dropped balls...the wr's had a lot of drops, but our db's coverage was pretty tight and they separated the ball from the wr's many times.
What really sucks is that going to this practice REALLY wetted my appetite for some football and now I have to go 3 months without.
