Would it have been nice to win a ROAD game vs. the #3 team in the country? Yeah. Does the loss hurt our tournament chances? No. Does it make us a better team going forward? Probably. Dawgs have much more room to improve than KU and improve we will. If you'd asked me Sunday if I'd take a win followed by a cover, I'd have asked where to sign.
We need a third scorer. If both Yante and JJ have to score 20+ to beat a decent opponent, it's gonna be a disappointing season. Fox seems to recognize this and has shelved KPG and is giving Harris/Diatta a chance. They both had their moments--good and bad.
You're never gonna win against a team like that on the road shooting what we did from 3. We got plenty of good looks from guys who usually do better. They just didn't fall. A few more of those drop and everyone is feeling a bit better.
Oh, and I'll be the first to say I'm very surprised Crump hasn't played more. I'll be surprised if he isn't playing regular minutes soon but that Harris has gotten first crack over Tyree has surprised me, especially given our need for shooters.
