Sellout attendance of over 10.5k, over 2.75k students on a Saturday night (although I guess they did have time to wake up a good team plus The Mayor of Milledge Ave working his magic.)

Forty minutes of what the hell - Dawg fast break points – 5, Hawg fast break baskets – 0. Points off turnovers Dawgs 14, Hawgs 12.

Georgia bench points – 2 off Ogbeide free throws.

Georgia overtime shooting: from the field 71%. From the line 28%.

Despite Edwards missing both of his free throws, Dawg posts 8 of 12 from the line. Dawg Guards 8 of 18 from the line.

Kessler starts and subs out Dawgs up 2, subs back in Dawgs down 5, subs-out Dawgs up 2.
Kessler starts second half Dawgs up 3, subs out Dawgs up 3. Subs in Dawgs up 6 at 15 minute mark and plays all but 13 seconds of the remaining 20 minutes when he got 5 of 7 his points, 3 of his rebounds, and 1 of his 2 blocks.

It's up to each of us, and that's fine - but I really think it's more fun to celebrate Kessler's unexpected contributions than bitch about his playing time.

After all, we knew he was going to have to play, especially after Ogbeide got set back.

I like Edwards progress - he's tough, he responds to adversity, he screws up but he makes plays. Ogbeide will break through and maybe real soon. But, just generally speaking, I'm pretty sure it's not like we got Alcindor and Unseld to run in there anytime we need a big body. I'm glad as heck we got Kessler.

And while all may of course respond as they like - I am not the posting police - I will be annoyed with posts that begin with the general sentiment, "Look, we are all proud of Kessler . . . "

Hell no, we all are not.
