worried about coming into the season, compounded by a rash of injuries, we ended up getting bit in the butt by the things that were predictable. I don't want it to seem like I don't appreciate every kid that took the field and delivered a 12-0 regular season. They played to a standard and are to be commended.

However, if I would have told you JTD, wouldn't be our starting QB for 90% of the season, GP, Burton and A Smith would face their injuries and not be big factors, you wouldn't have expected an O that could score with Bama's arsenal of weapons. We also knew that our secondary wasn't going to trot out 5 all americans and then lost Tykee for the season to go along with the normal attrition of a season.

The bad news is tonight showed us we aren't a shoe in for a national championship so things aren't as good as they appeared. Otoh, it's not as bad as it seems either. If we clean some things up and don't turn the ball over and bust coverages, we can play with Bama.
