My sense is that they are flexing because we had a great couple days.
Probably celebrating the week that UGA had. It's good to see our collective page start flexing.

I'm still confused by the donor event I attended (as a guest) last fall that was put on by the AA advised everyone to bypass CCC and donate through the school. Conflicting and confusing messaging.
And now UGA can pay directly. So I guess they’ll be spending that TV money and don’t need my money?

I’m sure those big donors had to donate through the collective. No telling how much work the collective did or didn’t put in to make it happen.
It is a team approach on that front - CCC, Kirby, Josh all working hard.
Now Kirby has some staffing promises to keep...... if he wants to keep the money flowing.

@Nooga Dawg sounds like you know something. Can you confirm if Kirby directed you to donate through CCC? Also, did they promise you anything besides changes to that staff? A snap-back cap, for example? Maybe a sticker & a note? A case of Bulldog Snacks?
All I know is what a big booster who was on those calls shared with me. Here is what I posted yesterday.
I am not certain who and what will change but I can tell you that in the latest money call to the big boosters - who once again ponied up - the money men told Kirby and Josh that they expected and demanded big changes on offense or this is the last money call they will have with them. Kirby told them that changes are coming, I was not told what changes or who.
I heard this directly from a person on the call, and I can tell you that for most of them getting a new OL coach will not be enough to make them happy, they will want more than that.
Just from reading between the lines from my source - he expects at least three coaching changes - 2 offense + 1 defense.
Had lunch with a well connected donor in Highlands a couple weeks ago. This is fact.
Sounds like the kind of stuff that will ultimately lead to Kirby finally saying he’s had enough. Bad enough to deal with constantly having to recruit your current team but to also have donors dictating staff moves may be more than he can take.
I was referring to him going directly to big $ donors for the $…not the comment about those donors calling for changes. I would agree with you about that part but my contact made no mention of that. In fact, Bobo was part of the meetings I was told about.
