The team will be super talented physically with Yante and every talented player returning plus Hammonds, Hightower and Claxton. Our team next year will be stupid talented even without JJ. The talent will be there to run and press but why i dont think will capitalize on it under Mark Fox.
1. Fox will struggle again to allow the chemistry of the team to build with so many talented but unproven players. Fox has proven he has no clue how to handle young players and it shows during the non-conferene season.
2. Fox will struggle with the mistakes our young guys will make and SUCK THE LIFE out the offense in favor of ugly basketball and force feeding Maten all game.
3. Fox wont be prepared to manage the loss of #30 and have tough time replacing his production.
4. Fox will coach the team to a solid season but once again we will struggle to win games against tough competition. Overall record 17-14 no tourney bid.
Fox has done a good job but its time for him to go The foundation has been set for UGA to bring in respected coach and truly make the program one of the best in the SEC. UGA basketball as a program has never been in a better position to hire a talented coach and Mark Fox deserves credit for that. This wont be a rebuild for the next coach, itll be an oppurtunity to take the program to the next level. Does the adminstration have the desire to make the program great or will they settle for being respectable? That question will be answered in the coming weeks.
