1) Keep supporting the team and program.
2) All need to find a good reality spot in your mind in regards to who will actually come to coach at UGA.
3) Hire a coach that knows how to manage leverage like Kirby.
1- It sucks, I know. A change needs to be made and the play is ugly at times. But it’s still our team we are all passionate about. Things are in play and there are changes ahead. Support the kids and their goals even if the coaching is in the way.
2- Most of the names listed are NOT coming to coach at UGA. But there is someone out there that will give us our Billy Donovan moment. Not sure who that is but I know they exist. Funny how similar the UF and UGA situations are at these moments. Looking back to the late 90’s at UF and us now.
3- We need a person that will come in for only the right situation. I have no idea if Fox asked for things that he did not get, but I do know that you have the most leverage when you are offered a job. Do we need more staff like Kirby, facilities? Are we prepared to commit to a basketball coach the way we did to Kirby in football? Donor pressure or not. If not, most of y’all will continue to be unhappy for years to come. It’s the reality of where we are in our basketball program. We need our Billy Donovan moment... or our Kirby Smart hire for basketball.
