What is the best restaurant in Savannah/Tybee?

Depends, what you want? Stay away from Paula Dean restaurants. Tourist trap.
My favorite place is Despositos. Fresh shrimp,newspapers on the table, great food, okay service.

Second recommendation for the Pink House...probably with the clients. Also go to Leopold's Ice Cream that one for the family.
Lol! Despositos. Haven't thought of that place since we lived there. Liked it too as well as Teeple's in Thunderbolt. Might be a more "upscale' Despositos. (tongue in cheek)
In Savannah, depends on if family involves kids or not and if clients are mingling with the family. Pink House is good but expensive, however, too la did da for me.
There's always Wilke's Boarding House for country family style dining at lunch and while walking to there or coming back, stop in at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Beautiful.
We always liked Spanky's and their bar food along with a can't miss beer battered spuds.
Chart House on River St. is great for steaks.
Also, for a drink, Pirate's House (if still there) upstairs so you can catch the "thunderstorm", etc. Very calming place upstairs.
The Lady and Son's, Paula Dean's place was very good. Nice buffet of home cookin. For a quick bite with the kids try Vinnie Van Go Go's Pizza.....you only need one slice they are huge. Kevin Berry's Pub or the Six Pense Pub for a drink.

For seafood We like Pearl's Seafood Grill, it's a bit west of the River district, though it IS on a tributary river.
Also for Family We love to drive out to Tybee for The Crab Shack for an evening.
I just got back from pet sitting for My Sister and Brother In Law who went to Savannah for 3 nights. I like it, but it's Their favorite place, They were married in John Wesley's old church.

Did the Crab Shack and it was amazing. Also did Vic's on the River which was really good also.
