I have only heard nice things about Matt. If you look at the kids UGA landed after losing Marshall Malchow (a savant in the industry), it's obvious Godwin was good at identifying talent. He led the charge on recruiting. It is a hard job as Smart's standards are high and the room for error is minuscule.
UGA is looking at replacements, although it will not easy to find someone with as good an eye for talent.
