I know everyone is disappointed in today's game/performance, but let's be realistic with expectations. The goal at the beginning of the year was to make the dance, we did that and need to use today as a motivation for the future.
1. White isn't going anywhere after the run to get to the NCAAT. I'm not a White fan, but firing him now would likely be a red flag for other coaches. UGA isn't going after or attracting elite coaches.
2. White needs to make an offensive coaching hire and truly self scout his offensive gameplans, they are not high level.
3. Recruit - you need to keep your core players and go out and buy the best shooter and point guard you can find. Would be great to keep Asa, but I'm sure he's gone.
4. UGA fans have to see this season in a positive light and a building block. UGA basketball has ZERO history and it's going to be a slow build....UNLESS
5. NIL - CAN UGA put together enough money to go out and pull a St Johns - buy a great team. If so, we should be dancing again with higher expectations and a coach with pressure to make the next jump.
IF White can get UGA to a few tournament appearances, basketball would truly take off. Fingers crossed!
