It is human nature to look at recent examples and think that reality will always mimick the most current example. " Johnny Football and Jameis Winston won Heisman Trophies as freshmen, therefore if a QB has not fully developed by his freshman or sophomore season he will never be successful". In reallity, great players develop at different points in their careers. Everyone remembers DJ Shockley's great senior season, but forgets how eratic he could be prior to that. The same could be said for Mike Bobo.
None of us truly know whether GL will be successful or not. Personally, I think he will, and I've never understood not giving a player or the team the benefit of the doubt going into a season. After all, they haven't done anything to make us mad yet.
