I don't think I would have ever cried over a ballgame anyway, but I know what would happen if I did. My old man wasn't mean natured and he wouldn't ever lay a hand on my mom (although he had a temper), but he didn't put up w pu$$y shit out of me and my brother in public. Just wasn't how he ROLLED.

more of a reason to shed tears than over a basketball game. At least they were if you got the kind of whippings I got. It took a fair amount to earn it, but they were serious when I got one. They were given to be remembered, and I do remember. I cringe to think of the one I'd get if I was crying at a sporting event AND I was caught on national TV doing it. I don't think my Dad's buds would ever let him forget it. Or me - they'd still be f'n with me today.
