there is supposedly little to no communication between SS and the treasury. It’s possible that checks are going to dead people. Other departments use their list of who is alive
The social security claims by Musk have been exposed as 90% untrue.
While it’s true he’s finding some real waste, you can add this one to the list that won’t pass a fact check. It’s great propaganda though, so his mission is accomplished anyway regardless of what is true or not.
