What does it say about our previous QB recruiting and QB coaching if it's automatic that a back up from UVA, that threw more INT's than TD's last year, is assumed to be better than anyone else we currently have. Lambert may be talented, but so are the guys we already have on the roster. The only difference is that when he was given the opportunity he struggled, Ramsey, Bauta, and Park have yet to have that opportunity. I'm not against Lambert getting another shot at UGA and maybe he can iron out some of his performance issues at UGA under different coaching. But let's not crown a guy the next great QB just because he's the new kid on the block.
Personally, I think Park hasn't been given a fair shot. The kid did everything that was asked of him a year ago, he had a great attitude about red shirting and apparently blew everybody away on the scout team. Then this spring he's immediately put at 3rd string, with almost zero rep's with the first string and limited opportunities in scrimmages. This kid can throw and run, he also is probably the guy with the highest ceiling. Playing QB isn't just about technique and mechanics, I think he may also have the "it" factor you need to be great. Unfortunately for him a 4th QB means even fewer reps and fewer opportunities to show what he can do. I know he doesn't look and act like the typical SEC QB, but that doesn't mean he can't play.
