No, not at all. For many, in the high Dem areas, it’s for government assistance. When you take the total, the percentage per 1000 of population is off the charts.
No one wants to talk about the proximate cause of inner city shootings. And the trends across the country.

The highest percentage of the homicides are African American on African American.
So to repeat my question. What drives the statistic? Shouldn’t we be trying to fix the problem instead of making excuses?

Isn't state a little too broad for measuring a murder rate? States are made up of multiple municipalities which can vary greatly.

Republicans have jobs. Same reason they don’t go out and protest. We have jobs and no one on republicans side who pays protesters to go out in the streets. Dems pay people to go out and act up and protest, burn buildings etc.
everyone knows why. The democrats caused this by paying women to have children out of wedlock. When I was at Grady MANY years ago I often saw 20 year old women with six babies all different dads and she kept popping out more babies to get more welfare money to buy her drugs while her mom or grandmother took care of her kids. Kids in single family homes are more likely to grow up in poverty with little supervision or guidance. Democratic policies pushed this years ago which lead to deterioration of the nuclear family which hit the black population first but the white population is catching up. THAT is the root of the crime, poverty, inability to read or write in high school etc.
This isn’t a race thing. When these policies started they hit the lowest economic groups. At that time in the 60s there was a higher number in the black communities affected. Now it’s hitting everyone across the board regardless of race. When you pay to keep a husband/father out of the picture, it leads to a destruction of society

And that was started by guess who? A Dem President Johnson and his so called Great Society experiement that almost broke this country and it hasn’t learned a thing from it.
Also a better question might be why are Republicans so terrible at running for office in every city in the country? If the Democrats are doing such a terrible job, then why can’t Republicans run a single city with over 1M people. They don’t run any.

Because many people who have been life long democrats vote for them no matter how horrible they are. Higher number of minorities in large cities who have been purposefully suppressed from achievement to keep them in line and dependent on the democrats for handouts. So they keep voting for them even though their policies are what has limited many of them. Plus elite and media almost 100% controlled by liberals and we have many low information voters who believe anything they hear on cnn and msdnc.
Identity and victimhood sell the inner city and urban areas. The concept of government being in place to redistribute tax dollars plays well in large cities. To believe that government programs are in place to be tapped and manipulated rather than in place to provide for those who cannot provide for themselves.
The culture that promotes these ideals create extremely unsafe living conditions as the culture feeds of itself.
The culture from the politicians to the benefactors destroy human initiative by creating dependence and gaining power for the politician. It is a vicious and vulgar cycle.
The Republican stance cannot survive in that culture as it promotes self responsibility to provide on the level of family responsibility.
The corruption in these cities and financial waste is impossible to describe.
I don’t care for any politicians regardless, but you have to create rules of expected behavior to fix us, but those in power are not willing to shake their positions. They don’t care. It’s power and money.
The inner city life is sad and unfortunate. It also can be fixed, but it would have to come with a goal of initiative, not handouts.
Ah yes, the welfare queen is alive and well in today’s Republican Party. Probably the greatest psychops campaign in political history. The idea that people live life a certain way to keep benefiting from diminishing government programs might be Conservative’s dumbest falsehood of all time. These programs have so many hurdles that any benefit they may receive is so limited that it couldn’t possibly make sense to stay unemployed or have more kids. Those are errors of poverty and circumstance…not some grandiose plan. You make the welfare queen seem like the smartest person ever when in fact they struggle more than anyone in this country.

Poor neighborhoods exist in big cities because of failed Democratic leadership over decades. The welfare state was created by Democrats (FDR) & has been sustained ever since by Democrats to maintain power & control of said municipalities! Most Republicans work for a living and contributes to society. If the poor would seek employment they would have pride in themselves and that would trickle down to their children. They would not have time to commit crimes therefore that would create a more safe society.
Poor neighborhoods have existed since the beginning of cities. Ancient Rome had poor neighborhoods. Has nothing to do with Dem policies. Hell, most of rural America is incredibly poor, but housing is affordable, so no homelessness.
Do you see who lived in the castles and the great buildings of Rome and Britain the elites. The poor depended on the elites to care for them just like today.

I saw it with my own eyes. At Grady and people I knew. Go spend some time in the community and you will see up close what the real world is like. All the libs would have a much different outlook if you grew up in that community or spent time truly immersed in it. You have no idea.
