It was horrible to allow four TDs on Bama's first four drives. Not saying it wasn't. Not saying it couldn't have been better, but....
we ran a total of ten offensive plays on our three drives in between those four tds.
A four and out
A three and and INT that set the up in scoring position.
A three and out
Our guys had to be gassed.
Then they get a stop and force a punt. What happens immediately after? Carson throws a pick.
Then the defense gets an INT that prevents Bama from getting at least another 3 points if not 7.
What happens? The offense gives up a safety.
Then the defense turns them over before half to prevent any more points from being scored.
Later in the second half, after the defense holds Bama to a FG, Beck fumbles the ball back to them at midfield.
Defense gets them to go three and out.
I don't care if all you have played is intramurals, you know how deflating that is to do your job and have the other side put you in a bad spot over and over. I tip my hat to them for playing hard throughout that and not getting dejected, staying positive, and still giving the offense the chance to do what they did later.
