Why is there an AJC?

I know how most of us feel about the AJC. But sometimes I do visit just to see if things have improved. But I am always disappointed. Not sure who is responsible for the format used on the AJC page or the AJC Sports section but it is terrible.

While I know that the Banner Herald is not perfect, it is a better source of news and info. If they would just drop this thing about having to "pay" to read the articles.
