Everyone, including Dash has said, if there is change it will NOT be a P5 coach. I understand the logic and the reason. Why does it HAVE to be that way? We may find a lower level coach and do great and accomplish all of our goals, and that is fine, but the one thing that I think about is Frank Martin at USC. Year 5 for him, currently ranked #1 in the SEC and will be a top 15 team (as I said earlier this year). He came from a P5 school in one of the top basketball conferences in the country.
What did USC do to attract him? As a program, I feel like they were in the same spot we are in right now. Why is it SO certain that we cannot attract a P5 coach? I think if USC can with their history and level of program, we should be able to as well. Will enjoy all's opinion.
