listening to him, he seems to strongly dislike Pruitt but to me it seems illogical. He hired his own guys, of coarse, I think everyone he hired is an upgrade over what we had, he hired the S/C guy which is also an upgrade over JTII who saw multiple knee injuries under his watch. Looking at our players, they are in best shape I have seen in a while, Samuel is huge, Marshall is huge, Carter is looking huge, even the small guys are bulked up. The team is in top physical condition.
We all know that the program fell greatly behind under and after "Pink Panties" disgraceful exit from UGA. Our S/C program was horrible, no nutrition program of note, weight lifting in a trailer, poor output from several coaches on staff, especially on the D and Special Teams.
It seems obvious to me that Pruitt coming out of the Stallings, Probst, Saban, Fisher tree, wants to freaken win and not screw around with CMR ho hum approach. Pruitt may be doing it the wrong way but he got the IPF ramrodded through, got consultants on board to help break things down further, and is well on his way to having a great D. He needs depth in the Secondary and more help on the D line, both takes time. Especially at a school that tries to avoid Jucos.
So it seems to me, the very guy trying to fix what many of us see as the issues, is now being vilified for doing just that. CMR checked out along time ago, that is why UGA, a school 60-70 miles from the center of Atlanta, a city with approximately 6million people living in and around it, has not been able to get it done while UF, Bama have won multiple NC's, Auburn who has won one and played for another, LSU has won multiple and played for another.
It is truly insane, I hate the Georgia Way. It is self defeatist. We pretend we are above it, but have had several highly publicized scandals, Harrick, the Swim Team, AJ and Gurley. Its bull crap... and a left over legacy that I wish would go away. Hire Lawyers to run the AD, tell the NCAA to Prove it or shut up. Tear down the stupid, pompous self imposed restrictions we place on our self. Disband the UGA PD and get the ACC on our page not just for Players but for all students.
