was that early INT, Dart TD, and quick touchdown.

I was very confident going into yesterday… and when that happened, when it’s 7-0 right off the bat and their QB is limping into the locker room, I thought that we were going to roll…

Players are human. Coaches are too. I’m not suggesting anyone completely lost the focus, but you can’t tell me the intensity was same after that.

Maybe we don’t win anyway, but I bet that first half looks a lot different.

That’s not a leadership issue either - it’s just human nature.

Having said that, I’m baffled at the regression from so many players. Development has been a hallmark here, and for whatever reason it seems to have stopped. And in a lot of cases, gone the other way.

That $1.2m is going to be the most expensive money Carson Beck ever earns. But it’s not just him. If I am an NFL GM, I’m viewing a number of our players less favorably than I did back in August.

Crazy thing is, this team could still win a national title. I no longer think we will, but there is still enough in the tank for it to happen. Nobody else in the country would have gone into Austin at night and beaten Texas the way we did. But quite a few teams could manage to not lose by 3 TDs to Ole Miss…
