Yes, some of these dudes made awesome plays last night! But we saw another array of drops last night. We even dropped one pass twice on the same play….I commend Dominic Lovett for making up for his fumble/drops later in the game. AS11 cost us all game. His only productive play was an end around handoff.
My question is when will the younger guys get more reps. Similar thoughts for defense!
Every game we have teams backed up or in a 3rd and long situation, #6 gets absolutely abused and #7 does too when the ball get tossed his way. Partially bc of coaching and playing 12 yards off the ball and partially bc he can’t cover dudes in man to man. Clearly we aren’t changing the concepts of a 12 yard cushion so when will Ellis Robinson get a chance?
Is our DB struggles due to not getting pressure on the QB quick enough? I don’t think so. 3rd down defense has to improve for UGA to win a natty.
Thoughts on those two positions and what needs to happen?
I love a win but we can’t ignore major issues either.
