I have noticed businesses just dont want your money anymore and god forbid they provide good customer service if they decide to take it. Examples, guy at work calls a local HVAC company to get an energy survey, after the company missed two appointments the survey is finally completed, co worker is already willing to replace entire unit and add foam insulation to house, guess what? HVAC company wont send him results of survey and wont return his calls. 10K right down the drain there because of a crappy employee. Example 2, I have a piece of equipment at work that is down, Contact repair rep. diagnoses problem. I tell him get me a price, i need it right away(government contract) Hasn't contacted us back for three weeks. 15K down the drain right there! Example 3 go to lunch today, dude doesnt drop my wings when I order them, so, I wait for 30 minutes on wings, do I get a "hey my bad, you can have them for 50% off" hell no! not even an apology.
My question is: As a business owner how do you follow up on employees to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to do? If I were the HVAC company owner or the Equipment company owner I would be pissed. As for the restaurant, who cares, they will be out of business in a month anyway.
BTW The subject line was just to get your attention
