What the hell are you even talking about? Kirby Smart's defense is dominating.. You and GoalLineTalker need too stick your head back up Richt's butt.
On what basis do you have to base this theory, because clearly you've neglected the team defensive statistics over the last 5-7 years?
I been right just about every time I say something. I said our offense coordinator wasn't any good when we are him and he wasn't any good : I'm saying smart won't be any good and I bet I will be right .

Why would anyone who claims to be a fan entering a new coaching era with such negativity? Smart is the hottest coordinator in the country and has excelled at every spot he has landed, atleast give him a fair shake before you judge. Smh.

Just curious if know anything about him. Do you know any of his friends? Have you ever talked to him, watched his practice prep, been around him during game day?
Have you been in any meetings with the man? Have you ever sat in on a recruiting trip, heard him speak to a player?
You sure seem to know a lot about the man to make such definitive decisions.

I happen to know someone on the Alabama staff . I have met him a few times , also know some high school coaches in Alabama that have gone to coaching clinics that have said his a great coordinator but won't be much of a head coach .
The Alabama person just says he a good guy and coordinator but I don't think it's fair for me to ask him what his thoughts are about him being a head coach .

Also think people here have the attitude of , just because he walks the same hallways as Saban and uses the same office bathroom, he going to be like Saban .

I can tell you from ex teammates to players to other coaches, they think he is one of the most gifted coaches they have ever met. He is extremely smart and confident. He ot only know a how it suppose to work, but why it works.
I am very close to this and think he will go down as one of the best. And he is at his dream job.
All the wringing of hands is silly. This was a home run hire.
And no, we are not close friends. This is my opinion based of what I know being around him, being around ex teammates and coaches.
This is a special time for UGA.
