that hard: Find and nominate a centrist social moderate willing to fix ACA without repeal, avoid abortion rhetoric, not pander to ANY segment.... especially far right groups or religious right. A fiscal conservative who'll make corporate tax rates globally competitive, fix the IRS tax system without raising middle class taxes. Person strong on international policies and defense without jumping into every war or conflict across the globe and still capable of consensus building with allies. BUT in afraid to use our might and it will take boots-on-the-ground to wipe out ISIS, deal with Boko-Haram, AQAP in Yemen, and Iraq. Lastly, a statesman willing to compromise when required to keep moving country forward.

So far that Repubican hasn't stepped forward and I'm very afraid Hillary will trounce Scott Walker or Jeb or Rubio and especially Paul, in Fla, PA, CA, NY, ILL, Oh, which are crucial to win the White House. Cruz is a sideshow bad joke and total waste of time. There's still ample time for someone to emerge but it's getting late.

Tell us what steps you'd take to fix the unaffordable care act if repealing

it isn't a good idea. All ears. When you are done, it will still have gubmint effin' up people's lives but...you have the floor

there are 20 reasons where this law isn't about healthcare but one

issue I've heard from those impacted is pretty obvious. They are getting subsidies (though they don't yet realize that could be temporary) but nothing about the plan helps them. They send a small monthly premium (perhaps $55.00) in yet their deductible is $5k. All they have purchased is catastrophic insurance. The likelihood they will ever reach that 5k and then begin to receive monetary help for costs is slim to none. And, these same folks had insurance before this law.....they lost their company insurance BECAUSE of the law.

19 other reasons this stinks.

I can't wait for that to hit and listen to the whining and moaning from...

the dumb arses who voted for obama. I also hope to see lots of doctors complaining about their income going down as the govt cuts reimbursements.

I guess 225 years was about as long of a run this country could have hoped for.

Like your president?*

Hillary isn't going to win the nomination. The Obama machine is actively..

working to take her down. It's either going to be someone like Liz Warren or Andrew Cuomo. It largely depends on whether Hillary fights it out or is forced to decline running early enough for others to jump in.

A bunch will change their mind this year when they find out that they...

can't deduct out of pocket medical expenses unless the total is at least 33% of their AGI.

Let the howling begin....

Are you serious? What world are you living in?...The GOP

has to nominate a candidate who can win in CA, NY and ILL you said. Really? There is NO person in the Republican Party who can win in those 3 states.

But the 3 you mentioned can all win in Fla and OH and maybe have a chance in Pa as many in that state have started
to question just how far left the democrats have taken this country.

But the ideal candidate IMO should be not only solid and conservative on fiscal and national defense issues but also
solidly conservative on traditional American social values issues and can do so without being too outspoken on those
issues during the campaign.

The democrat leaning national media will try to ask questions about these things but every time they do...don't fall for
the bait...Answer a question along those lines like "Tell us about your abortion position" with an answer like "That's an important issue but the main thing people are worried about today is how do we defend America against terrorism"...
and then lay out your ideas. on THAT issue and not get sucked into the liberals trap of trying to define you as a single
issue candidate when you're not. We don't have to isolate our party from social conservative candidates because we
can't win without their voters in a general election.

Just don't let the democrats and their national media define us as ONLY social issue candidates when we're NOT THAT
AT ALL.

Social conservatives can win if moderate republicans don't throw them to the wolves by doing the liberals dirty work for
them by saying things like social conservatives can't win. That's just not true.

We KNOW that socially indifferent moderate republicans can't win WITHOUT socially conservative voters actively
engaged in the presidential race so why would you advocate going right back down the same losing road as we've
taken the last 2 presidential elections?

1) Remove abortion funding x rape, incest, life of mother. 2) Undecided on

birth control as 99% of private plans cover that. If that's a deal breaker then also remove funding for Viagra. 3) You're gonna hate this one, but move those who have pre-existing conditions along with families who've exhausted their million dollar lifetime cost to Medicare. We'd all pay a very slight increase in Medicare payroll tax but that would get the insurance companies out of the mix along with their profit requirements that we're seeing today. 4) Enforce the non-profitability of not for profit hospitals which is VERY lax today. See Piedmont Health Care and U. of Pitt Med Ctr as examples. 5) Prevent big hospital chains from buying small town hospitals, shifting their Medicare expense off to those acquisitions which are 80% reimbursable which does nothing but boost bottom lines without seeing anymore patients. Also allows for charging insured more for their services. 6) Establish usual / customers fees for ALL hospitals, procedures, doctors, BUT allow for cost of living variances. 7) Make it a requirement that doctors must prove why they cannot except Medicare patients. 8) Eliminate lobbying by healthcare organizations at federal & state levels. 9)Allow for internet purchase or overseas purchase of prescriptions to knock out Big Pharma's gouging of Americans. 10) Keep the mandatory coverage requirement as nobody is except from needing medical care. Allowing folks to overload the system when they really need medical attention and take advantage of all the dollars you and I have invested is nothing short of theft. OR place anyone who doesn't want to buy healthcare coverage on Medicaide rolls. Those are just for starters but doable and palatable to many on BOTH sides of the aisle.

Sorry this took a a while but interwebs down.
