As we are all aware times have changed and is sounds corny as hell but these memories of singing day on these very boards on this very website with a couple of these very UGA Sports employees truly make me smile when I look back.
A few memories of these boards over the years….
1) I used to drive out to Arizona for spring training from Florida during my playing days each year and on my way out I would attempt to follow singing day on my phone while waking up at the Red Roof Inn (minor league days) in El Paso Texas on Lee Trevino Ave/Blvd. In 2007 I was so pumped we were gonna get Antwan Greenlee. Finally that OL recruit that would make a huge difference after so many misses. We had Max Jean-Giles but the drought was over with Greenlee as I fell asleep with all signs pointing to UGA. The next morning Greenlee was a Nole and we got Chris Little. Back then it was OL we just could not get and today it’s the top of the list 5 star WR. I am not saying our WR have not been good but it’s the perception. 2007 is a memory for sure.
There are so many others that obviously get referenced frequently such as the DR painting and now the DR poem.
As a lot of you I have been here for quite a while and from the Publix bakery to the Roquan losing his position coach the day before NSD…..its been fun and who knows maybe KJ Bolden will give us good news tomorrow and in ten years we will look back and talk about the all-SEC safety for the Dawgs that broke the “Buford curse”!
Whatever happens……Advantage LSU!
