Fairly sure Kemp is going to oust 1 Georgia Liberal Senator in 2026, does AZ have any potential candidates to win either the Governorship or US Senate? Lake, although attractive and articulate, clearly can not win a statewide election. Surely there are other options.

There must be, but they aren't being promoted by the Republican party. There is not a standout leader after Lake.

We have several weird dynamics in Arizona. Both parties have profound leadership issues. The Republicans have the added dimension of a divided party.

We have the McCain Republicans. That's your old guard uniparty. Lots of big, dark money behind them. Anyone that advocates changing the way business is done here, finds themselves estranged from this group. Lake pissed them off to no end. Calling these folks out publicly damages her chances. She keeps doing it and they keep dividing support. Her positions are good and have popular support, but Lake must pay more attention to optics and focus the message on the popular objectives she represents.

The election machinery in the state, particularly in Maricopa County, is badly broken and built to stay that way. There's not even an effort to look like we're improving it. We just elected a new County Recorder who is very capable of fixing some things on the voter registration side. Thanks to misbehavior of his predecessors (Adrian Fontes, particularly), the County Supervisors have stripped that office of some election responsibilities like running the voting centers during elections. There's always the threat that they will do more of that if the Recorder starts stepping on toes.

Maricopa County has 2/3 of the state's registered voters. As goes Maricopa County, so goes the state.

Need to find another candidate for the other Senate seat besides the one Kemp is going to be running for. No Walker this time!

Kemp is going to win in '26. Ossoff cannot get the black vote out like Warnock did.

For all his faults, Doug Ducey would've smoked Gallego in the AZ Senate race. Kari Lake is the right's version of Beto O'Rourke; no matter how much you pump them up, they're both losers.

I agree if Kemp runs, he wins. Not yet convinced he does it though. I guess it will be hard for him to dodge it, but then he is going to turn around and try to run for President in ‘28. Vance is a weak candidate. Many people will challenge him

He is a super awkward try-hard but go ahead with him.
Again, I think you want that to be the case. But, polling, results, and the data disagree with you.

From an article:

How did he turn things around? He performed. He did interviews and did them well. His superb debate showing seems to have actually mattered. And the coterie of young voters the Times tracked gave him rave reviews. A sampling:

“I can’t believe it, but I did end up voting for Donald Trump,” said Abigail, a 23-year-old Virginian who backed Mr. Biden last time. She felt Mr. Trump was a strong leader, liked his choice of JD Vance and felt Democrats made assumptions based on gender. "I made that decision when I saw JD Vance’s interview with The New York Times. He is the future of the Republican Party. I’m more voting for Vance than I am for Trump."
George, 21, Ga., white, student, didn't vote in 2020: "I voted for Donald Trump. Like Abigail, I was really impressed with JD Vance, especially during the V.P. debate."

McLane, 25, D.C., white, legal field, wrote in Romney in 2020: "I shocked myself and voted for Trump. No one tell my family. I was so impressed by JD Vance, the way he carried himself and how normal he appeared. I think I became radicalized on the men and women’s sports issue. The ad that said, “Kamala represents they/them. Trump represents you,” that was so compelling. While Trump is deranged, he represented normalcy somehow to me."
Lillian, 27, Va., white, digital advertising, voted Trump in 2020: I think that Donald Trump or JD Vance should go on “Joe Rogan” regularly. That would be a cool way to check in and give a progress update.

Even one voter who ultimately didn't end up pulling the lever for Trump said Vance's inclusion on the ticket tempted her:

Laura, 20, Md., white, legal intern, didn't vote in 2020: "I did consider voting for Trump when I saw Vance. I hope to see more of him in the future."
In general, the more voters heard from Kamala Harris, the less impressed they were. The opposite was true of Vance.

Pretty confident JD Vance will be a US President one day if he chooses. The GOP is loaded with great young talent.

Thinking Dr Rachel Levine is the Dem’s most promising Candidate.

Might put money on Fetterman switching parties. Who would have thought Fetterman is the only Dem that makes sense.

Also if the GOP is able to get legislation passed on Voter ID laws & election integrity, the US may really turn red!

Weak as in he can speak circles around everyone else?

Hey if you like him, great. To each their own. Trump is solid proof that I have no clue what is electable.
Vance is a bit nanny con for me but I don't think there is any doubt that he defends his positions well, even if you don't agree with his position.
