•• Keep an eye on Alabama's Mel Tucker, the defensive backs coach. Not sure if anything would happen there but if it did, it would almost certainly be after the season.

•• Apparently Jacob Eason and the boys had another great night in Athens. More and more folks (including current players) are telling us that Georgia has nothing to fear about Eason flipping. Still, I don't think the Bulldog Nation will rest easier until Eason comes out on Twitter and reconfirms his commitment.

Ben Cleveland said they didn't talk about Eason's commitment status but his description of 50 girls following Eason everywhere he went is priceless. Story coming... "Must be nice to be a quarterback. Linemen don't get loving like that."

Here is a shot of Eason be taken all over campus with Thomas Brown.

•• Be sure to read Murf Baldwin's first part of breaking down new offensive coordinator Jim Chaney's scheme. There is a lot to it and you will learn a great deal. LINK

•• Bryan McClendon, John Lilly, Rob Sale and Tracy Rocker were at the Gala last night. Others could have been there but it was hard to see everyone as the room was gigantic and the lights were low.

•• Some folks mentioned that Shattle Fenteng was assigned to their table but didn't show up. He might have been at a different table or something.

•• Jayson Stanley sat with us. He is VERY anxious for spring ball to get here. Stanley was excited about the Kirby Smart hire and hoping he gets targeted more that just twice next year. He did point out when I asked him, that a lot of the wide receivers that were being recruited with him wound up being redshirted. Darius Slayton, Van Jefferson and others all redshirted.

•• One week in and Kirby Smart has a Rivals100 commitment. Richard LeCounte committed on Sunday and while this isn't a huge surprise, he was not one of the 3-4 2017 kids we told to expect to commit. This could be the groundswell unlike anything we have seen in a while. And the reaction by his friends bodes well for UGA.

•• Oh yeah, just remembered that Ben Cleveland used the word "drooling" when describing how all the girls were fawning over Jacob Eason.

•• The dead period is almost upon us so the recruiting updates will likely slow down. That is until after Christmas when we start Rising Seniors, Under Armour and Army All-America camps.

•• New Offensive line coach Sam Pittamn will be in town this week.

•• Here is the funny Q&A with Ben Cleveland talking about his visit, the coaches, and all the girls and folks chasing Jacob Eason.

•• Jake Ganus was named the overall MVP of the season. Here is the list of Georgia awards.

•• Sarah caught part of the Mark Richt tribute video last night. Watch it here. Yes it was under her Special Olympics account.

•• Reader @joshuabryant points out this Instagram exchange between Trenton Thompson and Jacob Eason.

7:44 p.m. Jim Chaney is already on the road recruiting for Georgia, Looking in on Tre Nixon

8:44 p.m. Kirby Smart is still on the road. Dropped in on Rivals250 DT Antwuan Jackson's stepmom. Jackson has a decision coming very shortly

9:29 p.m. Rivals100 linebacker Jaden Hunter is going to announce his decision date soon. A Georgia dual-legacy, he has been split between the Bulldogs and Alabama.. The main draw with the Tide was Kirby Smart, who played with his late father Brice Hunter. Now that Smart is the head coach at Georgia, well, let's just say we like the Bulldogs' chances here.
