Ask any UF fan if they think Tebow’s legacy was ruined.

Tebow’s skill set/mind set combination buttressed his amazing success as a college QB & leader of his team. His results at “the highest level” per NFL standards were embarrassingly miserable. So, does that poor NFL result forever reduce or eliminate his other worldly performances at “the college level?” Absolutely not.

And this is by no stretch a comparison of Tebow with Stetson as individuals.

This is about football fans in general placing more worth, value and achievement level of a college star on whether he is drafted by or succeeds with an NFL team. Isn’t that silly? Yes, it is.

Every one of us can easily name a successful college player, who did not have a successful NFL stay, but who also had or is having a successful life “after college ball.”

The NFL does not guarantee lifetime health or success. It’s a great step to achieve, but is not the only measure of a man’s lifetime.

Regardless, NFL groupies gonna groupie. Bless all our hearts.
