We heard 15 minutes ago from a source that the new word in the president's office is that Downs is going to OSU.
As we were running it down now, we just saw the Pete Thamel tweet about Downs going to OSU
I still want to hear from Downs himself as we have it from every source at UGA that Downs was coming to Georgia.
Our sources were not just confident, but certain. This possible last-second change is akin to the bride not coming down the aisle.
UPDATE 1: Just had another source say that Downs is going to OSU.
Now the question is what happened at the last second?
UPDATE 2: I am told Downs' mom had an objection.
UPDATE 3: Georgia found out about 30 minutes before the news broke. We got word from the president's office about 15 minutes after that. Sounds like the AA called the president's office to say stop working on admission/classes (and then we were told).
UPDATE 4: Multiple sources tell me that Downs will make over a million dollars in NIL this next year.
