I would say both situations were actually fairly similar. Uvalde had no experienced officers to deal with this kind of thing. None ever had. No one in charge had either. The hunt for keys to the rooms gaffe. While a man who had dealt with it many times, whose wife and child were in the building drive over there and killed the guy (who had an ar)with a shotgun. He was a border patrol agent. I would say the club could have experienced more dead without someone with a clue of how to fight was inside. How to handle a situation like that. Had nothing to do with being woke either way. Unless you are implying that being woke makes you more brave than not believing in the woke movement.

It depends on how you view the war on terror. Why do Islamic extremists hate America? Yes, our economic strength and projection of power in the Middle East are important factors. But so is the fact that we are a multi-cultural society that treats women and minority groups such as LGBTQs as equal members of our society. This is anathema to the core underpinnings of their theocratic, male-dominated society. So, if you look at the war on terror as a battle between the western liberal tradition versus the extreme Islamic theocracy than he actually was fighting for the rights of all as he stated.

There is a huge difference tolerance and acceptance of diversity (both of which are good things) and extreme wokeness and putting diversity (and particularly equity of outcomes) as a desired outcome. (Which are bad things)

Whether this gets read or not Is not the issue,what is the issue is innocent people died. I get a phone call at around 4: 45 am. Parents that I knew when I was at the Academy the last 10 years in Colorado Springs,their daughter was shot and in critical condition. That young lady received a miracle, 5mm away of being a quadriplegic being shot in the lower spinal area in her lower back.
Blood that was spilt on Calvary,Afghanistan, Panama, Central America and many other locations as well. Bullets are not transgender, for all of those who heard the story and say “ahh it’s just the gay club,They deserved it “. Really, you tell the parents of the kids who died. Police weren’t in the building when shooting started at Uvalde. Had to insinuate themselves, nothing to do with ”woke”. When you are a part of the crime scene you act differently when you are among the attacked. You don’t see the difference?
