If the University reduced the required donation for tickets by $50 across the board and heavily encouraged those donations be redirected to NIL, that would generate an extra $3 million. (Approximately $60k season tickets go to donating ticket holders.)
Athletic departments need to recognize more money needs to go to collectives and give ticket holders a break somewhere.
Now if collective donations don’t go up in conjunction with such a reduction, then go back up on donations the next year.
