Sport is changing and some of the knowns we ignored are now all out there. Many players have little to no loyalty as an avg take(yes some still do). Coaches have shown this propensity historically so it seems the solution was to make nobody honor any commitments instead of focusing on coaches being forced to abide by theirs. What a great lesson we have taught. What you sign, what you say, who you are ..it can change easy.
Do you like the portal, do you like the open pay for play NIL(as a consumer do you feel the rules are good), do you still feel your commitment to your university pays the same dividends(still donating a ton)? Does signing day matter the same as it did 5 yrs ago? Or do you worry less and less who committed to our program since it can change so easily?
The consumer is being ignored imo.
I think right now, because for every loss there is a gain of some sort, people are trying to figure out the overall weight of things.
But my guess is, college football is about to get less and less attention if people don't realize thet the KEY GROUP that follows this sport are people that want it related back to the UNIVERSITY as a whole.
