Recently it seems the NFL has individuals testing the waters of being influencers while still playing at a high level on the field. And it seems the record reflects that performance drives influence on social media and not vice versa.

Micheal Sams demanded the rams to allow Oprah television to follow him to his rookie camp as a 7th round pick and was subsequently released by the rams. Cam Newton was very productive initially but then started dressing like a dick tracy villain combined with diminished value on the field.... had a short lived BET program that passed after the NFL career,...

Travis Kelce dominates on the field, dates a pop star and gyrates like a fishing lure with minimal provocation ...which has the effect of making his contrived, outlandish behaviour seem cool and daring..he could be the outlier and most successful of them all

And with shedeur and shilo doing fashion catwalks in Paris recently while in college still,...seems this is just the new way of the NFL,...metro sexual smash mouth football is a new thing,..which is great for the NFL to promote these guys to the millennials whilst as heels to the oldies but goodies,...

and the game is still real on the field even if the interviews and post game parties are as fake as a Jesse palmer squint and "blue steel" pose
