They won 4 titles in 7 years. That’s when Saban was cherry-picking all the talent. When KS got to Georgia and the talent was a little more spread between those two teams Saban won 2 titles in 7 years. One of those titles was helped greatly by officiating and a miracle play. The second was in a COVID season that was just weird. Georgia has won two in those 7 years as well. With Saban gone, it might not be unrealistic to think we are about to go on that 4 out of 7 type national title run. There no longer is a Saban and Bama to share the wealth. Will FSU, Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee, LSU or Florida fill that void? If it isn’t from the SE, maybe it’s Texas or OSU, maybe USC wakes up. But, for right now we are going to be the beneficiary of that second team void. We’re already in an historic run, but it could get really fun.
