Shockingly, tonight was the 2nd best defensive performance of the Kirby era. The best was against Auburn, but they lost RB Johnson after their opening TD drive which sunk their offense.
If we're going to regularly give up so many points in SECCG, then our identity must shift to high powered offense driven by elite gamers, not systems. Our system wasn't shutdown today, but it was slowed just enough to lose. We were playing with significant injuries, but people ultimately don't care when setting narratives.
