2017: 6.65. Samford (8-4) no. 17
2018: 8.47. Austin Peay (5-6)
2019: 8.63. Murray State (4-8)
2021: 7.07. Charleston Southern (4-6)
2022: 6.39. Samford (11-2) no. 7
2023: 7.99. UT Martin were 2021 and 2022 OVC champions. They were 7-4 in 2022, finished unranked and were co champions. They lost a coin flip for the auto-bid and didn't receive an at-large bid. In 2021, they were 10-3, ranked 12th in the polls at the end and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. They are predicted to finish third in their conference this year, but not make the playoff. They were not ranked in the preseason poll, but did receive votes.

2017: 4.29
2018: 3.04
2019: 4.73
2021: 1.85
2022: 2.98
2023: 4.13

Not really sure what you can learn from these games. I've always assumed the coaches used them to work on things more than trying to put up the most impressive blowout of the week. Our best YPP average was performed by our worst offense overall. Defensively we've had worse games, but defense has always been good/great seasonally speaking if not good game to game. UT Martin is probably the third best FCS school we have played behind Hatcher's Samford teams.
