Indicating that a coach would he named quickly? I can’t imagine him leaving without having a say in who is hired. Reports that this came suddenly but doesn’t it make more sense that he has planned this and made sure a successor is in place? If not, he has to know that players are going to boot to the portal and leave the next coach in a real bind. You’d think his pride for building that program would be an important element in deciding when and how to leave.
Has it been confirmed that Saban told the team to hold tight for a few days…
