just how "analytical" the supposed data really is. These coaches aren't rocket surgeons, so what kind of data are they really using to make decisions in the momemt, as the play clock is ticking down? There isn't enough time to decide what factors are most relevant, enter those factors and compute all the data points that need to be factored in for every situation and all the nuances associated with these decisions.

Is Dan Campbell or Dan Lanning accessing in the momemt analytics that take into account how many scores you are up and how many possessions the opposing team will likely get given the amount of time left in the game, along with a kicker's likelihood of hitting the 47 yard fieldgoal, plus the likelihood of your team having multiple other shots at a 40-50 yard FG in the remainder of the game? Is the data taking into account things like we saw last night where one team plays more or less confidently and therefore results improve given the likelihood of winning can be more easily seen due to the lead being smaller or larger, depending on which side of that equation you're on? I call BS because what these guys are actually using later in games is likely just generic analytics that isn't using deeper than a few variables that would change throughout a game given obviously important factors such as exact time remaining and the current score of the game. If they are using deeper analytics, how is that being done in the moment?
