It’s a different cast of characters, mostly, except for the coaches. At this point, it looks as though CMW Doesn’t know how to stop the backward slide. Our offense is static; too often #11 drives to the basket, ends up out of control and throwing up a prayer. Chewa continues to be a turnover machine; Rahim has disappeared. There is no structure to our offense; it looks just like backyard basketball.
Our defense might look good for a few possessions, but when the opponent figures it out, and starts getting easy baskets, CMW Stays in the same defense. We need to change it up; give them a new look, instead of making things too easy for them, and fundamentally, we are not a good defensive team. When an opposing player receives a pass beyond the three-point line, whoever our player is that’s supposed to be guarding him will rush out to play defense on him, over committing instead of being under control, and the opposing player is able to drive right by our defensive player. This happens at least 50% of the time.
I’m beginning to see why Florida was ready to get rid of CMW. AND NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH HIM.
