Kirby did, however, allow devout Richt worshippers to transfer to the Miami fan base.

It amazes me the press attacks Smart for doing what the other 95% of coaches around the country are doing, yet they've never said anything about those coaches.

Kirbys is the HC, he can run it as he sees fit. Guys want to leave let them go to juco and then go where ever.

By putting stipulations on players you take away a meddling schools ability to give a scholarship to a player they flipped for the year they have to sit out.

Agreed. Kirby had to set a precedent with the remaining players from the previous coaching regime. If you let one disillusioned player, even one that had no chance of cracking the starting lineup, transfer to the former coach's new program, you open up the potential for every other player to opt out.

The only "mistake" Kirby made is that he (and ADGM) felt he had to explain his reasoning to the media. That's why UGA has Claude Felton. Kirby shouldn't have time for that isht.

Claude's a nice guy, appreciate all he's done, but he needs to retire. Imvho, he really screwed up during the Gurley saga when all the honchos were in Indy with the NCAA. Made things bad for everybody. Twitter, facebook, message boards, etc. are lightening fast and I'm not sure he's adjusted.

You make a good point. There should be somebody in Morehead's office, the Terry College of Business, or the law school who knows something about PR and social media. If not Claude, let them serve as the mouthpiece for the football program.

Kirby doesn't want any Dawg fan that didn't support the CMR firing because those people are the ones we are trying to DESTROY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kribs needs all the help he can get. Just ask him.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who bees "we"?

If a coach is somewhere for 15 years and doesn't attract some loyal fan support he wasn't a very good representative of that school. FACT. That being said, time for these types of Kirby vs CMR posts to stop. You can support the new coach without back-handed swipes at the previous one.

This is an unprecedented situation. This has been a final destination job for head coaches until Richt. We didn't have to worry about former coaches going anywhere else.
