Going into the 4th Quarter, our fours were up and most of our camera lights were on. Ready for one last Krypton of the season…
Well, the CFP Production team had other plans and a premade video package for a military hero played the entire commercial break. All good. It is what it is. Fourth Q starts and most fans and some folks on the team/sideline still mimick the arm gestures. Somewhat of a bummer but the military hero deserved his moment too.
HOWEVER
Kirby calls a timeout and lets Stetson get a really awesome curtain call moment (imagine being up so much in a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME that KIRBY lets you have a curtain call moment).
And right on cue, after we give Stet a huge ovation, the Redcoats hit the downbeat of Krypton and fours go up. Chills.
Incredible storybook ending to one of the greatest football careers of all time.
