ND Golf around Lake Oconee

I figured if anybody could point me in the right direction here, it would be this group...

We have a group staying at Lake Oconee in a VRBO rental the weekend of the Tennessee game and we are looking to play a round of golf on Friday morning before heading up to Athens. I know that there are great courses at Reynolds and Cuscowilla, but none of us have played there before.

What are the best courses in the area open to the general public and what is the best way to book a tee time?
