Ok, long story here but a true one. My wife is the bill payer of the house and months ago changed our insurance but evidently forgot to change both auto and home so we've been months without homeowners. We contacted our current carrier and they stated they couldn't do a policy until we had at least 6 months coverage through another carrier. Our problem is we have home damage to include the roof needs work and there are other noticeable issues. Are you all aware of any companies that may be more lenient than others or not do true inspections, etc. After say the 6 months we would probably transfer one of the policies to the other so we'd have the same company. I realize we may be screwed but wanted to ask if anyone more knowledgeable than I in the insurance business could assist with any advice. Thank you.
