NIL money vs NFL money

OK this is still an unknown and I always hear rediculous numbers thrown out.

My Tenn neighbor is the worst at biting on how much money high schools are getting paid through NIL for their commitment. He thinks they paid Nico $7 million to play for Tenn. I tried explaining basic laws of economics to him that there's no way a school would pay a freshman that kind of money. If NIL money was truly equal or higher than NFL money not one kid would be opting out for the NFL draft. In fact, NFL players would be trying to figure out how to get back into the college game. There's just no economic sense or reasoning to honestly believe that college kids and HS kids are making as much as or more than guys in the NFL.

I just wanted to get some real experts' opinion from the vent on NIL vs NFL money. How much do you think players are really getting out of HS and in the portal.

What I really want to know is how much did Texas pay AD and how much did Bama pay Burton.
