By the schools and have the schools pay the athletes.
Ridiculous with the amount of money many schools are bringing in with tv contracts, merchandise sales, bowl money, etc. that schools are hitting up the fans for this money.
Ticket prices have gotten ridiculous, and the product on the field is getting worse.
I get hit up by the collective, the athletic department, the school and Learfield (for advertising dollars). Enough already! They're all scrapping for the same $'s.
I think everyone knows there needs to be a total overhaul of the athletic system in 'collegiate' sports. Let's see if these smart, collegiate folks can figure it out.
